First-time exhibitor, the Ergovea collection from Eco Bedroom Solutions, based in Los Angeles, is a company founded by Brandy Alvis in partnership with mattress industry sales veteran Andy Freedman. The U.S.-made product line ships roll-packed to brick and mortar stores, the company’s primary sales target.

Beds are described as “chemical-free and artisan-made from certified-organic components.” The core is 100% natural Dunlop latex foam rubber purchased from a 90-year-old Sri Lankan rubber plantation, which produces only 100% natural rubber. Covers are knit from 100% organic cotton yarns.

“They own their own plantations, harvest the sap and produce and cure only 100% natural rubber,” Alvis says. “Their product is extremely consistent.”

The beds do not have FR barriers of wool that can obstruct the feel of the latex, Alvis explained. Instead, Ergovea uses a jersey-knit FR sock made from silica-impregnated rayon thread. Four mattresses retail from $2,998 to $3,498. The Ergovea collection includes an organic wool-fill topper and two latex toppers retailing for $598 and $698.

Eco Bedroom Solutions makes first Vegas appearance

Supplies mattresses for ecologically oriented consumers

David Perry -- Furniture Today, January 28, 2014

LAS VEGAS - Eco Bedroom Solutions, a new entrant on the bedding scene, is making its debut at the Las Vegas Market.
As the name suggests, the company was created to meet the needs of ecologically oriented consumers looking for organic, natural and chemical-free mattresses, its founders said.

Brandy Alvis, who has a decade of experience in the organic bedding category, and Andy Freedman, a 30-year bedding veteran, joined forces to launch the new company, which is based in Auburn, Calif.

Freedman has represented a number of mattress lines over the years and is currently a sales representative for PureCare and Symbol Mattress, companies he will continue to represent.

"What makes Eco Bedroom Solutions and our signature Ergovea line interesting is that we have built it for the consumer and for brick-and-mortar retailers," Alvis said. "This line has been successfully test marketed in the Berkeley, Calif., market for the past 13 months."

Eco Bedroom Solutions offers what Alvis described as "a small footprint program," focused on 100% natural latex mattresses, two- and three-inch latex toppers, and a three-inch organic wool topper.

The mattresses feature organic stretch knit fabrics and a Greenguard-certified silica fire barrier that does not deaden the feel of the mattress, as some other fire barriers do, the company said.

The Eco Bedroom Solutions products are built to order and ship via FedEx/UPS anywhere in North America.

The company also offers organic pillows and sheets, and has a line of eco-friendly platform beds.

Eco Bedroom Solutions executives are attending the market here and will be showing their products to market attendees. The officials can be reached at (888) 559-5051 or at the company's website, www.EcoBedroomSolutions.com.
